This level of care takes place where clients can live at home while participating in treatment. According to ASAM criteria, outpatient treatment is less than 9 hours per week for adults. Having a solid support system at home is crucial to this level of care. Individuals will have client-centered treatment planning, which will include individual counseling, group counseling, family counseling, and aftercare planning.
Many people who struggle with addiction require and benefit from structured support as they pursue recovery. Intensive outpatient treatment may be suitable for individuals who are ambivalent about stopping substance use or whose lives seem unstable. Outpatient treatment enables patients to maintain their commitments to work, education, and caring for family. The intensive outpatient meets 3 to 5 sessions weekly, down to weekly individual group and individual therapy services. We develop treatment plans tailored to the needs of our client community.
The Intensive Outpatient Program is designed for pregnant women, women with children, and women in the process of reunification who struggle with substance use disorder. This program is tailored to meet the specific needs of this population. Women are encouraged to bring their children to the groups as we treat the whole family dynamic.
Partial Hospitalization is a treatment service designed to help individuals transition successfully from inpatient facilities into outpatient programs, and back into daily life. It’s the most appropriate level of care for people who have spent time in a traditional inpatient facility but aren’t ready to go back into work and society. It’s also usually the most effective environment for people who have significant substance use issues that haven’t escalated to the point of needing initial inpatient treatment.
